Regatta Round Gotland (ÅF Offshore Race)

Scandinavian most famous regatta Round Gotland usually starts last weekend of June and it is one of the spectacular summer events in Stockholm. Hundreds of boats sail from Stockholm and head for Gotland, around it and back. Finish of the race and honoring the winners will held in Sandhamn - a small port on the island Sandön, which is east of the Stockholm archipelago and considered as the Mecca of Sailing in Sweden.

The history of the Round Gotland regatta began in 1937, when 42 yachts from Germany, Sweden, Poland, Finland, Lithuania, UK and US took part in the first race. More than 250 yachts participate in the regatta every year. The fleet of yachts is divided into 8 classes, there are 5 different routes, the longest is about 500 nautical miles for 60-ft trimarans and the shortest distance is about 179 nautical miles for classic yachts.

Yachts Bavaria 47 with professional skippers are chartered for the race.

During the race you will sail more than 360 nautical miles, and pass the beautiful islands of the Stockholm Archipelago.

The regatta will be interesting to those who for the first time decided to participate in the sailing regatta and for the seasoned "sea wolves" - program of the event successfully combines classic sailing competition and fun entertainment. The program of the regatta - race, training, walking and sightseeing in Stockholm and of course, parties.
