Nord Stream Race will start in September 2013

In mid-September, the Nord Stream regatta will sail the 800 miles to cross the Baltic Sea from Flensburg (Germany) to St Petersburg route the pipeline "Nord Stream". The race will be held in nonstop. Participation is open to all classes of boats Gazprom Swan60 and yachts ORC in length over 30 feet.

The route will pass through the waters of Germany, Poland, Denmark, the Baltic countries, Sweden, Finland and Russia.

The main purpose of the race to create an internationally recognized sailing event on the Baltic Sea, bringing together coastal regions and to give impetus to the development of international sailing, as well as strengthen the relationship between the countries. The first regatta was held in 2012 and now has a course for the future.
